Home ownership is one of the most critical determining factors in generational stability across the world. The effects are both financial and psychological, providing a sense of permanence that helps break the chains of poverty and significantly increases the odds that future generations will enjoy better opportunities. Put simply, a person’s home is usually their largest financial asset, the benefits of which are often passed on to the next generation. Yet thousands of people right here in Maine have no idea that they could take this life altering step. Despite the existence of programs to help, access to guidance remains a barrier for many populations such as foster children who age out of the system, new immigrants, veterans or single parents. Take Me Home was founded to help fill this gap, through a combination of education, financial resources and support as our people pursue the dream of home ownership.

As you work through your very own road map for your journey, one of our coaches will be at your side to answer questions, provide additional guidance and to serve as your cheerleader. We know this journey can be tough – and we will be right there with you no matter how long it takes!
Buying Your First Home
Once you are ready to get started, you will explore the special loan products we can access with one of our lenders to find your best option. Then you’ll be matched with one of our agents to go see homes, plot strategy to get what you want and walk through the whole process to get your keys.
